PLYMOUTH EVENT A HUGE SUCCESS


Despite the wet weather, people turned up in droves for the enlightening holistic weekend in Plymouth Guildhall.

Organised by Anne Gliddon, the event was a huge success with hundreds of people showing up to try out various therapies, have psychic or angel readings and browse the gift stalls.

Anne said: "It went really well. It was an informative event with a friendly atmosphere and people felt comfortable to have therapies or just to chat.

"I had a visitors book and people wrote in some very positive comments. I’m definitely going to organise another one in Plymouth Guildhall next year in April."

The admission fee for the event was donated to Plymouth-based charity Jeremiah’s Journey, plus an amount donated by Fantasy Folk through face painting.

The charity, which offers support and information to children and their families when someone special has died, received £500.

Sarah Wilson, fundraiser for Jeremiah’s Journey said: "We were delighted that we were the chosen charity for this event. The money raised will go towards funding our group programme, this includes providing resources such as memory boxes, coping packs and other special items. I would like to say a very big thank you to Anne for all her hard work in making this event so successful."

Jeremiah’s Journey is made up of a team of individuals experienced in working with bereaved children and their parents or carers. It is able to provide information and support to children who have experienced or are anticipating the death of someone special to them. The main part of what it provides is a group programme for bereaved children and their families.



This mind body and spirit event is designed with people at heart to experience different therapies, insightful readings plus gift stalls. Admission £1 adults, children and OAP's free.
